I am Associate Professor in Intercultural Communication and Russian Cultural Studies at the University of Plovdiv, Bulgaria. Since January 2008 I am based in London,UK. I am still affiliated with the University of Plovdiv and I also teach at the Kingston University Business School - London. I am interested in the construction of social identity through language and narratives in the context of international migration. I also work as an intercultural consultant, trainer and counsellor.

Dear participants in the Student Mobility Tawasol Project to NUI Galway, On behalf of Leah, and on my own behalf, I am writing to say how much we enjoyed working with you. It all went beyond our expectations. You made us work hard, improvise, watch for useful change, try and identify ways to amplify it and then do more of what worked. The moments we feasted in were those when the room first buzzed with your voices and then exploded in a powerful chorus. THANK YOU!I have sent the presentations from the Intercultural Training to you by e-mail. Do write to us when you want to share or ask something. We’d respond and share in return. We’d be pleased to know how your intercultural competence develops. Wishing you success with all your initiatives!Irina and Leah
