Roehampton University

Dave Tinham studied social anthropology and human rights at the University of Surrey and now teaches on a number of modules in the School of Social Sciences at Roehampton as well as in the School of Politics, International Relations and Human Rights at Kingston University. He is particularly interested in learning and teaching on issues in civic engagement, both through his past work in the Crucible Centre at Roehampton as well as through convening Roehampton’s interdisciplinary module ‘Questioning Citizenship’. He is particularly keen to become part of the Tawasol project, having recognized the importance of service learning through personal experience, volunteering with a grassroots social movement in Jamaica as part of his own undergraduate degree programme.
